Analysis of this search data with a view to keyword selection was the second key step in achieving
high ranking positions with search engines, and to delivering high volume
traffic. This was performed in the following manner:
- Analysis of keywords and key phrases for site and product relevance.
- Analysis of how many competing web pages used the same phrases
- Analysis of how well competing sites were ranking for important
- Selection of those which can be improved by web page optimisation.
- Choice of additional search terms.
- Selection of definitive list of most effective search terms
to be used in the web site
